About Suzie Betts
Suzie Betts is the founder of Boob Armour, a company dedicated to providing essential breast protection for female athletes and women in high-impact professions. Inspired by her own breast injury and her daughters’ experiences in contact sports, Suzie launched Boob Armour in 2020 to address the overlooked issue of breast injuries, which can have long-term health effects, such as fat necrosis that mimics breast cancer.
Boob Armour’s innovative inserts are lightweight, 2mm thick, and made from polyethylene, providing impact absorption without restricting performance. Used by over 3,500 female athletes worldwide, including Matildas star Katrina Gorry, the inserts have become a vital part of sports gear.
Suzie’s leadership has earned recognition in the Australian Sports Technologies Network’s ‘Women in Sports Innovation’ report and as the 2023 Women’s Agenda Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year. Her mission continues to revolutionise breast protection in sports globally.
